Because cows are sacred in Nepal (and that's another whole story), the meat Nepalis eat is primarily water buffalo. Hence, the hide is a by product of meat production. Preparing the hide is a lengthy process, done completely by hand, using all local, natural, and organic materials. Then, they're designed and crafted by hand.
When I was choosing my bags, Ravi (my leather guy) referred to these as camera bags. At the time, I thought that was a bit dated, so I just looked at them as another small bag. Oddly enough, I've had several people ask me if I have a camera bag since then. It's a simple design with a wide bottom. Available with brown or black exterior stitching.
Brown, decorative stitching
Sturdy, adjustable strap
Leather toggle and loop closure
Use this camera bag as just that or as a purse or daypack. Great for concerts, festivals, busy markets, etc. It's ideal for keeping your items close and can be worn as crossbody or over shoulder.
The water buffalo leather is tanned, designed, and crafted by hand in Nepal.
Approximately 7.5" X 4.5" X 5".
*Each of my water buffalo leather products is unique. The colors vary greatly and the slight imperfections and irregularities only add to the charm of each piece.
Keep out of elements as much as possible. You can use leather products, but please understand that will likely change the color.
