Because cows are sacred in Nepal (and that's another whole story), the meat Nepalis eat is primarily water buffalo. Hence, the hide is a by product of meat production. Preparing the hide is a lengthy process, done completely by hand, using all local, natural, and organic materials. Then, they're designed and crafted by hand.
I'm calling this a pack so as not to overuse backpack but, one in the same. It's a bit smaller than my small backpack and shaped differently because it's a crossbody.
